Tracking the remote signal leads Claire- accompanied by her friends and frenemies-to discover that what started as an online brawl will soon threaten everyone in Morganville...

My Review
Just when you think this series can't get any better, Mrs. Cain comes out with another extraordinary installment to the MV series that is through-the-roof amazing! Not many authors are able to pull of such a long series (Bite Club is the 10th installment) and still keep the audience guessing, screaming, crying, clapping and cheering, but she does. This series just gets better and better so if you haven't picked it up yet, what are you waiting for?

There is a new gym in Morganville teaching humans martial arts and best of all. the teacher is a vamp. Of course, a chance to fight calls to Shane who believes this is a dream come true. He begins to go to the gym and train but soon his friends notice a change in him. He's hot-headed, short-tempered and seems to be pushing everyone away, including Claire. This makes Claire wary, and she begins to investigate. Dealing with her man problems is just one of her many worries. She is also keeping Frank's presence a secret from Shane, is investigating a murder of a classmate with her friend/boss Myrnin and is soon wondering if Shane is the link to it all. Soon Claire is caught in the middle of a war that is about to hit Morganville like a storm. On one end are her friends, Myrnin and Shane, and on the other end are the vampires. Can she save Shane and her friends before it's too late or will she lose everything to the vampires...including her life?

This book is told in dual perspectives: Shane's and Claire's, which I loved. Being able to glimpse into Shane's thoughts just made me love him even more. He is such a complex character that has been completely put through the ringer. He's a bad boy with a great heart. Put that together with good girl gone ballsy hero Claire and you have one of the cutest relationships in YA PNR! Then there is Myrnin, Claire's pal/boss/crazy vamp that is the highlight of every book. He seems to really care about Claire and combine that compassion with his eccentricities and jokes and you have one of my favorite characters of all time. Jump to Michael and Eve. Michael: the rocker vampire + Eve: the happy goth = One hot, odd and completely adorable couple. They are always there for their friends and for each other. For all you Michael/Eve fans - you are going to love this book!

All in all, I have to say that his is one of my favorite books in the series. It is filled with action, suspense, danger, romance and some very funny moments provided my Myrnin!

This book is rated 5 fangs:

Which is your favorite character in the Morganville series? Who is better for Claire: Shane or Myrnin? Are you a fan of Michael and Eve's relationship?  Let us know!
