True Blood Season 4 Episode 8: "Spellbound" Recap

I have been falling behind on my True Blood recaps so I re-watched them all and am going to catch up this week, starting with True Blood Season 4 Episode 8: "Spellbound" !

Alcide and Debbie. True Blood Season 4. Episode 8
Alcide, Debbie and the Shreveport Wolf Pack

The Pack has decided to stay the hell out of vampire business and to Debbie, this includes Sookie business. She tells Alcide to stay away from her being that she is always knee deep in vampire business. We all know that she is uberly jealous of Sookie and she is using the pack master's orders as an excuse. Alcide agrees and I really start to believe that he was castrated the moment he got together with Debbie again, but he proves me worng when he sneaks off to warn Sookie of the danger surrounding the vampires. Little does he know that Debbie has followed him. What he finds when he finally finds Sookie is no bueno. Read Sookies summary and view the pic above. I think that pretty much sums up the bad news.

Lafayette,True Blood Season 4. Episode 8

Lafayette, Arlene, Terry, Psycho Baby and Weirdo Ghost - wow, what a group!
The strange singing ghost is hanging around the baby while Arlene and Terry talk about their babysitting problems. We see her leave and soon we see why. She (Mavis) heads for Lafayette's house where he dreams or actually has a vision of the ghost when she was alive. We learn that the babies father is a white dude who is trying to keep their affair a secret. She comes home (with the baby doll who wasn't so creepy when it was new) to find that he has murdered their baby. He tries to get her to leave but she wants to hold her baby one last time. He wakes to find Mavis looking at home right before she enters his body. He stands up, even more feminine then usual, and heads out the door. He goes to Arlene's house where everyone is sleeping. He walks in, takes the baby, steals a gun and leaves. This baby is just all around bad luck...but he is adorable :-)

Sam and Lola,True Blood Season 4. Episode 8

Sam, Lola and their whole broken family
Sam kicks Tommy out of his life and runs to Lola's house to tell her that. She let's him in and they are playing the "happy family" role when in walks her ex and baby daddy, who also happens to be the Shreveport Wolf Pack leader Marcus. He is none too happy about that. I smell problems....
Meanwhile, Tommy decides to play transform again, but this time into Maxine- I guess nearly dying doesn't phase him. He meets with the prospector to strike a deal and get some money by bargaining Maxine's land.

Jason and Jessica,True Blood Season 4. Episode 8

Jason and Jessica
I think this picture tells a thousand words. Jason saves Jessica as she opens the door and is about to walk in the sunlight while under Marntonia's spell (Marnie/Antonia).She's about to take a bite out of Jason when the spell breaks. Instead of blood shedding, there is some saliva sharing when they kiss. Sorry Hoyt, out with the old and in with the new, although I do like Hoyt and feel bad for him, but this couple is just too hot to pass up! Jessica soon finds herself dreaming of breaking up with Hoyt. In the dream he becomes a mess, begging her to stay and crying so she did what any sensible vampire would do...she bashes his head in. Of course, that was just a dream but she soon finds herself back at the home she shares with Hoyt and does go through with the whole break-up bit. When she tells him she realizes her dream couldn't be further from the truth. Hoyt is pissed and he throws her out, saying that he is too good for her and he deserves better that a vampire - ouch. Can't say she didn't deserve that one. She heads straight to Jason's house, sad, depressed and needing his support - she doesn't get it. Jason throws her out, revoking her invitation to her home. Double ouch!

Bill wants to put an end to the witch vs vampire feud so he arranges a meeting with Marntonia at the graveyard at midnight - how typical..lol. Both show up but each has their reinforcements. When Sookie can "hear" Marntonia casting a spell in her mind she warns Bill and all hell breaks lose. It's witch and witch lovers vs vamps. Pam catches Tara and is about to get her revenge when Bill orders her to stop - Why Bill?!! The fighting continues when someone is shot. Find out who below!

Sookie and Eric,True Blood Season 4. Episode 8

Eric and Sookie
Sookie releases the chains from Eric once the spell is lifted and he is weak. She offers her blood and he takes it. He then offers his blood and the bond is in place! They head for the shower for some more fun when they are transported into a wintry wonderland with a bed right in the middle. She tells Eric that he is a fighter, a past viking and he needs to step up to the plate. They need to fight against the witches. We see later that he agrees when they do to Bill and tell him that they are going to meet Marnonia with him. Bill doesn't like it but there is no stopping her. They go with Bill to the graveyard with a few others, including Pam. When she hears Marnie casting spells in her mind, she yells a warning to them. The crap hits the fan and all are fighting when a shot is fired and Sookie is shot. Eric runs to defeat Marnonia when she casts a spell on him. Alcide also hears the shot and finds Sookie on the ground. He lifts her up and runs away from the danger and to help Sookie not knowing that Debbie is watching him and all that is taking place.

The season is heating up! I am completely caught up on viewing the episodes, but not writing the recaps. If you have not seen the last two episodes, you don't know what you are missing. Luckily, I will be posting the recaps tomorrow!!

Do you think Alcide and Sookie have a chance? Who do you think is the best choice for Sookie?

Q. In books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet, for real?
Hard question! So many mythical creatures and I have to only choose one..hmmm. I'm going to have to go with the vamps! They are strong, they are dangerous, they are immortal and they are sexy as hell. Maybe I can find a hot vamp to turn me. I would make one awesome vamp with a warm heart surrounded by a ton of badassness.
Book Blogger Hop

“Non-book-related this week!! Do you have pets?”

The answer to this is a big fat YES!! I cannot live without at least one pet in my life. Books, Pets, Chocolate and Tequila makes this world a better place :-)

I have 1 cat named Petey who is white with orange and is the sweetest, friendliest kitty you will ever meet. He is about the size of a small dog with a big heart to match..lol. I also have a dog named Bailey who is a Puggle. He is fawn color and is super funny, entertaining and friendly. He loves to play and cuddle. My cat and dog are always together and sleep side by side. Bailey knows how to wave, bark on command, crawl, dance, twirl. give high-5, kiss, rollover, and go to sleep and wake up when I say. He learned from his awesome mama :-) Petey knows how to tame the wild Bailey monster when he gets too crazy..hehe.

What are your favorite YA Paranormal Romance and/or (Urban) Fantasy series? Here are my top 5!

My sister recently asked me, "What's your favorite paranormal romance and/or urban fantasy series?" It's not the first time I've been asked that question, but many of you know by now that I am a neurotic freak who will dissect a question until the person who asked it begins to rub their head as run away screaming at the top of their lungs just to get away from my babbling about "more specifics..., if we are talking vampires..., what about adult series....blah, blah, blah." So, My final answer is: There are just too many differences between YA and Adult paromantasy books for me to compare them. So here I am, breaking it down into what I feel is a more answerable question:

"What is your favorite YA paromantasy (Paranormal Romance/(Urban) Fantasy) series?"

I started with favorite paromantasy series because I have suddenly been inundated with some ultra-incredible YA series as of late. So here are my top 5 YA Paromantasies:

1. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
2. Evernight by Claudia Gray
3. Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
4. Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

How did I choose my top 5?
They all have one thing in common and it is that they are all heart-pumping action-packed thrillers filled with twists, turns with a sprinkle of romance and a whole heap of danger. In other words - all of them are eye-glue reads that keep you attached the pages until the very end!

As you can see, I only have five listed. Why?
Well, for a couple of reasons:
1. Many of the YA series that I read are good, but just not the unputdownable series that you expect to find on a person's top list. For me, this includes Twilight which I liked, not loved (bring on the he hate mail..lol), The Wolves of Mercy Falls which also sits on my "just okay" list, House of Night which goes from good to bad then back to good again (if you are not consistent, you are off of my list), and lastly the dreaded series The Immortals which I think is one series that I continue to read simply because of my obsessive compulsive need to finish every series that I start.

2. Other than that, I have not read many other YA novels.

Have any YA Paromantasy series that you think would make the list? If so, send me your suggestions. If I read it and love it, I'll make sure to shout you out for your awesome suggestion and reward you with a YA present!

Felicity Heaton's Takeover for her Paranormal Pandemonium 2011 Blog Tour. Felicity's interview with a witch - Serenity from Her Dark Angel

Interview with a witch - Serenity from Her Dark Angel

Firstly, a huge thank you for having me here again as part of my Paranormal Pandemonium 2011 Blog Tour, and in particular the Her Angel series section of it that celebrates the entire angel romance series and the release of the fourth book, Her Guardian Angel.

I’ve spoken about Her Guardian Angel, introduced the series and talked about my angels, and caught up with the hero and heroine from that book on my tour. I’ve even interviewed Apollyon, the powerful and beautiful angel from the first book in the series Her Dark Angel. Now it’s time to meet his heroine, Serenity, and hear her side of the story.

I guess I should introduce myself first though. I have been writing since 2005 and turned indie in 2006, and I’ve written various genres in that time, although most of them are paranormal romance or science fiction romance. These days I’ve focused on my true love—paranormal romance. I write books under two names, with most of my stand alone and series coming out as Felicity Heaton stories, and my Vampires Realm series as F E Heaton. My paranormal romances are usually focused on vampires and werewolves, but I do also write demons and witches, and of course I write sexy angels too!

If you’re new to the Her Angel series and haven’t read any of the books, then you won’t know who Serenity is so I’ll do my best to paint a picture of her.

Serenity is a petite French witch from Paris who barely reaches the chest of her dark angel, Apollyon. She is very powerful and will fight to protect her love and her friends, no matter how strong the foe. She’s often seen wearing her long fair hair down around her shoulders and loves summer dresses in pastel colours or comfortable clothing, giving off a sense of lightness that is only increased by her bright smile and easy air. Her hazel eyes bewitched Apollyon in Her Dark Angel and continue to hold the angel of death under her spell. She’s open, warm-hearted and very friendly, and easily accepts new angels and new people into her life. Serenity is the only person with the power to command Apollyon since he has contracted with her but she rarely uses that on him and instead lets him do as he pleases, choosing to simply live her life with the angel that she loves.

Now, on to the interview...

FH: I have Serenity here with me today to talk about her book, Her Dark Angel. Firstly, can you tell us a little about yourself?

SERENITY: Ah, I am... how is it you say? I am happy to be here. You must excuse my English. Mon ange teases me about it.

FH: Don’t worry. We all know that it isn’t your native language and we appreciate you speaking it for our benefit. I’ll have to have a word with Apollyon about his teasing you though.

SERENITY: (smiles brightly) He will not like that. I am sure he will be moody. As for me... I am French by birth and have lived in Paris all my life. My mother was gifted and raised me alone, and she taught me to use my, ah... powers. She told me of angels and all the other creatures. I had never met one before Apollyon. It was a shock. I had practiced my magic and was happy to use it to help others. It was all I wanted until I met my dark angel. Now I use my powers to help him and his friends.

FH: Can you tell us about what happened in your story?

SERENITY: I was not happy. Life was not good. The man I had loved, he betrayed me with another woman. They say Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, do they not? It is true. I was angry, and wanted revenge on him. I hurt. Because of my pain, I used my powers for my own benefit. Never before had I done this. I had not realised what would happen... but I cannot say I am unhappy about it, because I met my angel and he has made me happy.

FH: How did you meet Apollyon, and how did you feel about him initially?

SERENITY: Apollyon says that he heard my plea... that we are connected and that it was my heart that spoke to his. It is very romantic, no? When he appeared, I was afraid. Before me stood an angel... not as we imagine them to be, but a dark glowering man with power that felt dangerous to me. I knew he was death... I did not realise he would not like that name or the others I mentioned. He grew angry with me but he was so gentle too. He wanted to help me. I saw that and realised that I was not judging him well... that I was basing my feelings on tales I had heard, not on the man standing before me. As I came to know him, I discovered that he is a good man, with a large heart... although he is still dark, he does not frighten me anymore.

FH: Was it difficult to see past the wings to the man?

SERENITY: (nods) Of course. Because I am gifted, he cannot fool my eyes. I could see through his spell. I could see the black wings and armour. It was hard to see that and see past it, as you put it. When we danced... even before then... I knew the seed of love was growing in my heart for him. It was hard to accept that he might feel for me too. He is an angel. A pure being created by something otherworldly. It did not seem possible that he could love me too. When he hid his wings and came to me, I could not resist the pull I felt for him. He... how can I say it... kissed me into submission. It was a pleasant way to surrender my fight against my feelings.

FH: How has life been since the events that happened and brought you together?

SERENITY: It has been very different to life before. We have moved into a new home in a quiet area of Paris, and often have visitors. Apollyon is strong and many seek his help. He has tried to leave Heaven but we have discovered that he cannot. There are things only he can do, so they will keep him tied to Heaven for eternity. I fear losing him. If he dies, he will not remember me. I do not want that so I fight at his side and try to protect him so we might be together. I was afraid when we were fighting to help Amelia and Marcus. I had never seen Apollyon like that and I feared I would lose him. I vowed then that if he were to die, I would find him and call to him again... I would find a way to revive his love for me. Einar has said angels remember some things when they are reborn, and that he would help me if anything should happen to my angel. He would bring us together again.

FH: Your story, Her Dark Angel, is a book in a series. Can you tell us a little about the series and can we expect see more of you in other stories in this series?

SERENITY: I think there is a chance you will be seeing more of me. I am tied to Apollyon, and he seems to be important in the series you are writing. I believe you are planning a new story now, one for someone I have not met. Perhaps I will meet him in this story and we will all come together again to stand against whatever danger is after us. I am determined to help Amelia in her fight against Heaven and Hell.

FH: Describe yourself in one word?

SERENITY: Optimistic. Mon ange says I have hope in my heart and that it is like a light that guides me and also him. He says I am his light.

FH: I think he mentioned that in my interview with him. You certainly are his ray of sunshine. Thank you for meeting with me today and chatting. Is there anything else that you’d like to add?

SERENITY: Thank you for asking me these questions. I hope I will be seeing more of you when you write the next book, and I believe the story about how I met my dark angel is on offer at the moment, no? I think many women would like Apollyon as much as I do, and should fall for him through his story too... although they must remember that he is mine.

FH: Her Dark Angel is certainly on offer at the moment for just $0.99 from Amazon Kindle Stores, Smashwords and my site, where you can get versions for Nook and Sony too.

Her Dark Angel, book one in the series, is currently on offer as my summer deal! You can get this angel romance novella for just $0.99 from my site, Amazon Kindle Stores, and Smashwords until August 28th. That’s a saving of $2.00!

Her Guardian Angel
A simple mission becomes a fight for survival in this fantastic instalment in the Her Angel series.

A guardian angel dedicated to his duty, Marcus will do whatever Heaven asks of him, but even his loyalty has its limits. When his superior orders him to gain Amelia’s trust through seduction, Marcus starts to question his mission and his feelings for the beautiful woman he has watched over since her birth.

Amelia has gone from one bad relationship to another, so when a gorgeous guy moves in next door looking like Mr Right, she hopes he doesn’t turn out to be another black knight in disguise. But there’s more to Marcus than meets the eye, and when he rescues her from three demonic men, Amelia is thrust into his nightmarish world—a world where God and the Devil exist, and only one angel can save her from death—Marcus, the angel she’s falling in love with.

On the run from demonic angels and the Devil himself, aided by Marcus’s angel friends and their amazing women, fighting for survival against the odds, Marcus and Amelia discover a love that will last forever.

A love so strong it will shake Heaven and Hell.

Felicity Heaton is a romance author writing as both Felicity Heaton and F E Heaton. She is passionate about penning paranormal tales full of vampires, witches, werewolves, angels and shape-shifters, and has been interested in all things preternatural and fantastical since she was just a child. Her other passion is science-fiction and she likes nothing more than to immerse herself in a whole new universe and the amazing species therein. She used to while away days at school and college dreaming of vampires, werewolves and witches, or being lost in space, and used to while away evenings watching movies about them or reading gothic horror stories, science-fiction and romances.

Having tried her hand at various romance genres, it was only natural for her to turn her focus back to the paranormal, fantasy and science-fiction worlds she enjoys so much. She loves to write seductive, sexy and strong vampires, werewolves, witches, angels and alien species. The worlds she often dreams up for them are vicious, dark and dangerous, reflecting aspects of the heroines and heroes, but her characters also love deeply, laugh, cry and feel every emotion as keenly as anyone does. She makes no excuses for the darkness surrounding them, especially the paranormal creatures, and says that this is their world. She’s just honoured to write down their adventures.

I would be a powerful goddess warrior who is sent to help Jolie while simultaneously stealing Sinjin's attention in HP Mallory's Jolie Wilkins series. I would be all powerful and dangerous but have a good heart and a wicked sense of humor - hey, I just described myself minus the powers

“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”

One of the longest, but really good, PNR books that I have read is The Heart of War by Lisa Beth Darling and Love Immortal by FE Heaton. I think each was about 500 - 600 pages if I'm not mistaken, but they were both so good I didn't even realize how long it was until the very end!
Have a great weekend and FF/Hop everyone!!

Review of The Darkest Secret by Gene Showalter

The Darkest Secret (Hqn)

Title: The Darkest Secret
Series: Lords of the Underworld, book 7
Author: Gene Showalter

Official Synopsis
Keeper of the demon of Secrets, Amun can manipulate the darkest thoughts of anyone nearby. But when new demons possess him, the immortal warrior must be chained and isolated to protect those he loves. Death is his only hope of release—until he meets Haidee, a fellow prisoner whose beauty and hidden vulnerability draw him into a reckless test of his loyalty…

Haidee is an infamous demon assassin, raised to despise Amun’s kind. Yet how can she hate the man whose touch sets her aflame? But to save him, she must give herself body and soul…and face the wrath of a powerful adversary sworn to destroy her.
My Review
I am a huge fan of The Lord of the Underworld series and The Darkest Secret did not disappoint. Gene Showhaler proved once again what a fantastic and talented an author she is by providing another spine-tingling, blood-boiling, action-packed sexual thriller of a read. Many (long) series fall flat after awhile -  this is not the case with this series that just continues to get better with each installment.
Amun is the keeper of the demon Secrets. He steals the secrets of those around him and is forced to witness and feel the scenes and emotions that each one brings. After saving a friend from hell, more demons possess him and he suddenly finds himself with murderous, treacherous thoughts. He is losing more of himself each day to the whims of the demons and all hope seems to be lost until Haidee walks into his life.
Haidee is a demon killer and The Lords of the Underworld are her biggest enemy. After being captured by Strider, keeper of the demon Defeat, she awakens to find herself in the house of the Lords. Hearing pleas of help coming from the next room, she manages to find a way to break in to help the poor soul who is begging for mercy. She expects to find a prisoner being tortured, instead she finds a gorgeous man in pain. She goes to help him and finds that he responds to her touch. They soon realize that she is the key to restoring him to his former glory.
With demons threatening to take over his mind, he must turn to Haidee, a demon hunter, for help. Can he trust her to help him or will her promise to make the demons pay win over her desire to be with him?
With her demon hunting past looming over them, will Amun be able to look past her demon-hunting ways and see the love that she has for him?
On a journey to save Amun, they must face their past, their fears and most of all, the love that has grown between them. But with everyone standing against them, including their friends, will love conquer all or will it tear apart the lives that they have built?
This is an amazing book with non-stop action, romance, danger and thrill that will keep you glued to the page.
This book is rated 5 fangs!

Question of the day: If you had a choice between a best friend and someone who you feel is the love of your life - Who would you choose?
My answer - This is a particularly hard question - damn, I don't really know how to answer my own question...lol. I think it depends on the circumstance. I know - that is a completely half-ass answer, but hear me out. If it is just the fact that they don't like each other, than they will both have to get over it. Now, if my boyfriend was a demon-hunter and my friends are all demons, then I would have to choose my Friends. I mean - they are the ones that are there for you always and you never know when he may get the itch to go demon-hunting again. So there is my sorta answer. What would you do?

My answer - Bye, bye spouse. If its been years and you haven't come looking for me, and I haven't found you - then I must trust that the love I have found is what is meant to be.

Q&A and Giveaway with Paranormal Romance Author of Destiny United: Leia Shaw

We are shining the spotlight on a new author who is a definite force to be reckoned with - Leia Shaw. Destiny United has made me an instant fan with its perfect blend of action, romance, mystery, suspense, and fun. Destiny United follows the story of Erin and Marcelo. Erin learns that her sister is the leader of the underworld and she has sent a devastatingly handsome vampire Marcelo to take escort her to the Underworld where her sister awaits.Marcelo has been on a quest for his long lost wife, but stops to aid the new queen in bringing her sister safely to the Underworld. When the two meet, there lives are forever changed and the world as they know it will change with it. This book is amazing!

Leia is here today talking about her life, her books, and her love of the forbidden...

Let's here it for Leia!!

Tell us about yourself.
Let’s see…I have five tattoos. I’ve been hypnotized in a comedy show and thought I was Aretha Franklin. I love the mountains. I’ve had some of the strangest jobs of anyone I know including, ski lift painter and cotton candy seller at the circus. I love chocolate. I love to laugh but sometimes have an inappropriate sense of humor (like laughing when people get hurt). I live in New England with my husband who swears I would be happy if he sprouted fangs (I neither confirm nor deny this). I like to play zombies and witches with my two kids (who seem to have the same morbid fascinations that I do).

How did you start your career as a writer?
I’m a jump-in-with-both-feet kind of person. Most writers start out with short stories or articles or something. Not me. I decided I wanted to write a book, so I did. Halfway through writing the first, my head started spinning with ideas for sequels. So I kept writing. Now I’m working on book three. I never lost focus and kept my eye on my destination. My plan is to write all seven books in this series in the next few years.

Where did you get the idea for the Destiny United?
Marcelo was a side character from the first book, Destiny Divided. I really liked him so I said, well, let’s make him the hero for the second. And since Sage, the heroine in the first book, is a kick-ass, tough girl with a bad temper. I wanted the heroine in this book to be opposite. She’s timid and sweet, but not a pushover. The rest of the story just kind of fell into place. The first book’s characters included; vampires, sorcerers, and witches. I wanted to add something to that mix, so in the second book, we get a look into the fae.

Vampires and Fae and Werewolves, oh my. I love a book with a ton of Supes like the characters we find in Destiny United. Which character is your favorite and why?
Ah, let’s see. Gotta go with the traditional vamps. They’re a classic. The blood, the fangs, the darkness. It’s so forbidden, which, of course, makes it sexy. I love the hero of Destiny United, Marcelo. He’s very alpha and can be a little pushy, but he’s not afraid to apologize. He has a sweet, tender side. And really, who doesn’t dig a Spanish accent, right?

Which character are you most like?
Both of my heroines (so far) have a little bit of me in them. Erin (from Destiny United) has my compassionate and playful side. But I think I’m most like Sage from my first book (Destiny Divided). And I’m not sure that’s a compliment since most people find her unlikeable in the beginning. Lol! She’s abrasive, rough around the edges, and very sarcastic. I don’t think I have quite the temper though (she tries to kill her mate in the first scene).

Erin has to overcome her fear of the world in order to embrace her new life. Has there been a time when you had to confront your fears?
Yes, many of the themes in both my books have come from my own life experiences. Okay, well, minus the evil villains out to kill me and vampire lovers. But they say you write what you know. And even in fiction, I think that’s true. One of the themes in my books (third one included) is trust. I think everyone to some extent has dealt with trust issues, I’m no different. I think intimate relationships are the ultimate risk. It’s not so bad being betrayed by a stranger. But betrayal by someone you love hurts.

And going back to the whole jump-in-with-two-feet thing. Yeah, let’s just say a beginner snowboarder should not try the black diamond slope, not even to impress a guy. Also, rock climbing without a rope is a bad idea.

Who are some of your favorite authors?
So many but here are a few in this genre; Kresley Cole, Karen Marie Moning, Ilona Andrews, Diana Gabaldon. All four have influenced me in some way or another.

What books are you reading now?
I just finished Thea Harrison’s Dragon Bound and Storm’s Heart. Loved both of them! I’m one of those people who reads several books at once and flip flops around depending on my mood. I’m also reading the most recent of the Kate Daniels books by Ilona Andrews.

Are you working on any other projects we should watch out for?
Definitely. Book three of the Shadows of Destiny series comes out in January. Destiny Unchained. We’ve heard a little about Marcelo’s wife from when he was human, who was turned into a vampire before him. Her name is Natalia. She’s called The Huntress because she hunts rogue werewolves and ruthlessly kills them. She’s my toughest heroine so far. She’s also shut off her emotions and is going to be a hard shell to crack. Good thing she finds Cristian, the passionate, sexy alpha of the Northwest werewolf pack. I’m excited to integrate werewolves into this book. In the last two books they’ve been sort of the bad guys. Now we’ll see a different side to them. And Cristian is my first laid back, not so dark and brooding hero. I’m excited for them!

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Hmm…thinking I’m done several times then having my critique partners say…uhh…you need to fix ______. So frustrating, but I usually listen to them.

What do you do when you are not writing?
Play with my kids. Read. That’s pretty much all I have time for.

If you could be a supernatural being or possess any power, what would it be?
Geez, you ask hard questions. I think I’d want to fly. I love heights. I’m kinda weird that way.

Tell the readers what to expect when reading one of your books.
I think I pride myself most on creating three dimensional characters. They are flawed, they make mistakes, they have to deal with the same themes we all do; trust, forgiveness, fear, love. Of course my heroines have a sexy, alpha male at their side who only cares about their pleasure in bed and says romantic things a real guy never would. Lol!

Basically, my books are about a male and a female who fight danger, grow in character, have great sex, and fall in love. Don’t you wish your life could be so exciting?

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I know I’m still a new author and don’t have much credibility but I hope you’ll give my books a shot. The books can be read out of order. Readers have said the first book (Destiny Divided) is funnier. But the second book (Destiny United) has more heart. I love them both and I hope you do too!
