Title: Malice In Wonderland
Series: The Dulcie Series, book 5
Author: HP Mallory
Genre: Paranormal Romance / Urban Fantasy - Adult

Official Synopsis:
A broken relationship, tarnished with lies and deceit,
A father who wants her dead,
And a shocking surprise that could rock the very foundation of everything she believes in...

Fairy and law enforcement agent, Dulcie O'Neil, has to face the fact that her father, the Head of the Netherworld, is also Public Enemy Number One. In joining a group of rebels who would see her father dethroned, Dulcie will realize just what it means to go against her own blood. Throw in her tattered relationship with Knight Vander and the shock of a lifetime and Dulcie's life just went from bad to worse.
My Review:
This book is filled with danger, romance, sexual tension, humor and non-stop action, all tied with a snarky little bow. This combo of danger and humour, action and romance, dark scenes with light hearted fun is a winning recipe that HP Mallory has perfected, and it couldn’t be more true than in the 5th book of the Dulcie O’Neal series, Malice in Wonderland.
This book picks up right where Wuthering Frights left off. Knight discovers that Dulcie is not really working for her father and was instrumental in the latest drug bust, the leader of the Resistance is revealed, and now it is time for action in love and in war. With lies, deceipt and anger clouding Knight and Dulcie’s relationship, they are left with a relationship that is utterly broken. Will they be able to rekindle the love they once had or is the damage to deep to repair?
Along with Dulcie’s messed up romance, she also has to deal with her dysfunctional family which consists of a dictator father who would like nothing more than to see her dead if it meant keeping his power. With the war between the Resistance and her father growing closer, Dulcie must stop her father, deal with a broken heart and protect the people she loves before they are destroyed.
Loyalities are tested, relationships are rocked and everything that you thought you knew is about to be thrown a curve ball.
This book is amazing. Everythinig you love about this series is here, but with an emotional cloud that seems to be building throughout the book and explodes towards the end. You will run to buy the next installment of this book, I promise you that.
Dulcie and Knight are trying to mend a relationship that seemed unfixable after what happened in the last installment. The sexual tension, love and undeniable attraction between these two is explosive and I truly felt for them.
Unfortuantely for Knight, he is not the only one after Dulcie’s affection. Bram fans, get ready for some fun time with the dramatic vampire. I truly love the banter between Dulcie and Bram. He become a sort of protector to her in this book so they actually “live” together. Get ready for a very hot fog scene…you will know what I mean when you read it (get a cold glass of water ready!). Quinn is also back…can he be trusted? Well, you’ll have to read it and see, but I do love his gentleness…which is weird since he is also a criminal.
The usual gang is also back and I love the connections that Dulcie has with them. Sam, Trey and Dia feel like old friends to me and they always have Dulcie’s back. We also learn the ins and outs of the Resistance and their members. Get ready for some interesting characters.
All in all, this is another great installment to a truly incredible series!
This is another 5 Fang book by the great HP!
