Title: Werewolves Be Damned
Series: Magic & Mayhem (Entangled Edge)
Author: Stacey Kennedy

Official Synopsis
Nexi Jones—part witch, part guardian, and wannabe kick-ass warrior—can’t throw a punch or conjure the simplest magic. But that doesn’t stop her from hunting the werewolves who slaughtered her human family. She’ll have her revenge, but only if Kyden, the elite guardian, would get the hell out of her way.

Kyden can’t decide if Nexi wants to get herself killed or if she just has no clue what she’s doing. But her father made it clear: keep Nexi safe…or else. Of course, the more Nexi runs toward revenge, the more she needs Kyden’s aid, and as she grows into her power and confidence, so does his desire to protect her. The only problem? She’d rather he dropped dead.

But when a vampire paints a bull's-eye on Nexi’s back, she’s hard-pressed to deny Kyden and the help he’s offering. Even if it means getting her revenge will be a little bit harder. At least it will still be as sweet.

My Review
This amazingly witty, action-packed, romance-sizzling, mystery-filled book is  a twister that hits you like a ton of bricks, completely absorbs you into its world, then leaves you completely breathless and mind-blown in the end! This simile pretty much sums up Werewolves Be Damned, the first book of the Magic & Mayhem series.
Nexi has always felt lost and out of place. After her parents are killed she decides to seek revenge on the monsters that killed them, but to do that she has to learn the truth about her past and a world she never knew existed. She is taken to the Otherworld - a realm which houses the Council and their team consisting of a head honcho of each race: a Witch, a Wolf. a Vampire, and a Guardian. Along with the Council are their team of guardians and witches who come together to protect the innocents from the Otherworlders who turn to the dark side.

With this life comes the revelation that she was never human, but is part guardian-part witch and must now train in, what turns out to be, the first day of her new life. Problem is, before she can fall into step with her new life, she must train to battle evil and that's when she battles the scariest thing she's ever had to face: love.

In walks Kyden, her completely sexy guardian trainer who oozes sex and badassness. The moment they meet the sparks fly and so do their fists, but behind each ass-whipping and back talk is a love that is undeniable. Soon they are inseparable and the world is looking up for Nexi, but all good things must come to an end.

Suddenly she is not only battling to save the lives of other innocents, but of those she loves most. When a vampire with a mysterious tie to her sets his eyes on Nexi, the new life she created and everyone in it is in danger. It is up to her to save not only the world and the ones she loves, but also herself. Time is ticking and the life of her loved ones hangs in the balance. Will she save the people she holds dear or will she die trying?

This book is a series of twists, turns, mystery and romance that will have you on the edge of your seat, and racing through the pages. Combine this with a definite "bang" of an ending and you have an amazingly, "un-put-downable" read that will have you begging for part 2 immediately!
This book is rated 5 fangs:

All I can say is that this book is Amazing! I already re-read it twice, so that in itself is saying something - I'm not usually a re-reader. Nexi is witty and always tells it like it is! I love kick-ass heroines with equally bad-ass heroes that try keep up with them!

Have you read Werewolved Be Damned! What did you think? Who was your favorite character?

Let's hear your thoughts!
